Named* license – CodeBeamer is licensed on a number of users basis “named license”, each user requires one named license to log in. Named licenses are best for users who log in frequently. Since the license is dedicated to a user, with “named license” the user can log in anytime. For example named license team members who need near frequent access to your bug databases. Users can be renamed or disabled from the system, the license manages don’t count disabled users against the licence limits. The product may be installed on one server and accessed from any location.
Floating** license – With floating licensing you don’t need license for every user who will use it. Floating (concurrent) license limits the number of users logging in at one time to the number of floating licenses you have purchased. The minimum time-out period for a user session is 90 minutes. Floating license is a license you can share among pool of potential users. For example if you expect that 50 user will use CodeBeamer, but you don’t expect that more that 20 user will use it at the same time you need only 20 floating licenses.
Support*** – Support fee is an additional 20% to the license price.
Named + Floating license – Named Licenses and Floating Licenses can be freely mixed in the same codeBeamer installation. System administrators can select whether each individual user will use a named or floating license. This has the advantage of ensuring that certain customers, that is those users with named licenses assigned, can always obtain a license, while providing a pool of floating licenses to other employees, contractors, partners or customers.
Deployment options – Either you install codeBeamer on your server, or Intland hosts it on a dedicated server. A good example for our hosting service is JavaForge.com, which runs in the Amazon EC2 cloud, currently serving 32,000 open source enthusiasts and 3,000 open source projects.
