Why codeBeamer?

  • Processes. Most IT organizations use agile, waterfall or some other type of processes. CodeBeamer supports agile, waterfall, iterative and hybrid processes out of the box, and it can be customized to support custom ones. Standard and custom process templates and workflows can be easily reused for new projects.
  • Secure. Your sensitive intellectual property remains under your control. CodeBeamer is a secure environment supporting a full range of enterprise grade security and authentication options. With unified project, user, role and group access management you can control who has access to what artifact and what service.
  • Cost effective. codeBeamer is quick to adapt: the administrative and IT infrastructure costs are minimal. codeBeamer has low cost of ownership and high productivity, which results in substantially high returns on investment.
  • Extensible. Extensibility is key for customization and integration purposes. Using its API (Application Programming Interface), codeBeamer can be easily extended, customized and integrated with your own applications, third party tools and services.
  • Open. CodeBeamer is an open, version control system independent solution. It is web based. It is built on open standards. It can be deployed to standard J2EE servers. It uses RDBMS databases to store information. Your source code is not stored in a proprietary version control system, and you are not locked to any vendor. CodeBeamer tightly integrates with Subversion, Git, Mercurial and CVS, and through its VCS API it can be adapted to any other SCM system.
  • Scalable. It is important to consider ALM adoption not for your organization only, but to provide controlled access for your partners, vendors and customers, as well. Scalability and security act as a no-go or enabling factor for wider-spread adoption. codeBeamer is highly scalable: it hosts 3,000+ projects and 36,000+ users currently at JavaForge.com.
