Intland’s collaborative development platform, codeBeamer, receives
prestigious Jolt Award in the Change and Configuration Management Tools
category
Cary, North Carolina, March 24, 2005 – Intland Software, the leading
provider of Web-based collaboration and change management solutions for
distributed software development teams, today announced that the codeBeamer
collaborative
development platform has won a coveted Productivity Award in the 15th Annual
Software Development Jolt Awards. codeBeamer won the award in the highly
competitive Change and Configuration Management Tools category.
Jolt Product Excellence and Productivity Awards are presented annually
to products, books and websites that have “jolted” the industry
by helping to create faster, easier and more efficient software. The finalists
in each category were selected in January and the award winners were announced
last week by the editors of Software Development magazine. “This has
been an exciting and challenging year of Jolt judging,” says Rosalyn
Lum, the magazine’s technical editor. “Every year, the competition
gets tougher. Not only did we rename several categories and add a new category
in midstream, we had an unprecedented number of nominations.”
"It is an honor for Intland to have been selected to receive this prestigious
award especially in face of many established competitors”, stated
Dan Snider, director of North American operations, Intland Software. “We
believe this achievement is a testament to the quality and effectiveness
of codeBeamer in solving many of today’s software development problems.
We have focused our solution on tightly integrating collaboration with
change management, across the lifecycle, to address the challenges now
facing distributed
development teams. The result is real-time visibility, availability
and control of all assets; these are essential requirements for increasing
team productivity
and reducing costs”. Continued Snider, “The Jolt Awards’ panel
has a reputation for recognizing innovative solutions; we are very
excited that our technology and direction has met with the panel’s
criteria for award selection”.
Ease of implementation and usability are major features of codeBeamer,
enabling customers to achieve a rapid return on their investment.
The standards-based J2EE server can be installed on any operating system,
is highly configurable
to support organizational processes and easily integrated with existing
software development tools. In addition to providing critical software change management capabilities, the product captures all communications, creates knowledge base in the development process.
codeBeamer uniquely
solves the escalating problem of software development by enabling
team members to easily share technical, managerial and quality information.
The Jolt Award ceremony was held on the evening of March 16, 2005 at the
SD West Conference and Expo in Santa Clara, California. For more information
