JavaForge: Long awaited upgrades finally here!!!
Jul 12, 2007

This morning Matthew Schmidt (VP of Technology for Javalobby) announced that his team upgraded JavaForge ‘s codeBeamer instance (developed by Intland) in first time for a year.

The Javalobby team believes that this upgrade resolves many of codeBeamer’s issues: lost project members in Subversion, disappearing attachments, poor performance and general instability. The upgrade is not quite fully complete, so there will still be some downtime in the next few days to, for example, bring back custom homepages. In addition, Javaforge plans to increase the server’s RAM by 2G so that builds won’t interfere with the running of the website. For the users’ convenience they’ve listed some of the new CodeBeamer 4.2 features. If more information is needed, visit the Intland website, and be sure to read the user guide.

Features:

  • Better Subversion support

  • Document Manager extensions

  • New Databases are supported

  • Anonymous

  • Labeling on all Artifacts

  • Wiki Extensions

  • Enhanced Notification Services

  • Knowledge management Extensions

  • API Extensions

  • New Integrations

If you are a JavaForge user and you have any problems with the new system, please don’t hesitate to email the support team at support-AT-javalobby-DOT-org. They’ll try to address the issues as soon as they can. Thanks for using JavaForge and I hope you enjoy the new system.
